So I have decided I truly want to achieve a lot with my art. I have made a goal to take part in an artist alley at some point next year. Nervous as hell but hey I gotta believe right? Also I opened a fortune cookie that said "You're transforming yourself into someone who is certain to succeed." And I don't believe those little cookies are one to lie. It also told me mango in chinese máng guo. So for anyone who may have some tips or advice in doing an artist alley, your input is greatly appreciated.

I have reached an interesting yet sad conclusion when it comes to art. It always seems that my friends always want something free in terms of art works. No matter what I may be working on it never fails that someone requests some of the most complex and outlandish things that would take awhile to complete, yet they expect it for absolutely free because they are my friend. Don't get me wrong I don't mind doing some things for close friends but just kinda sucks when they start to take advantage of it. I now see why some artist get so bitter. /endrant

I am finally reaching a point where I am truly happy with the work I am putting out. Making that first step was definitely one of the hardest parts. Just as Ze Frank once said "the hardest part is getting from zero to one." Very true words. But after watching some of my favorite artists consistently produce quality work I want to reach that point. Just have to stay disciplined.
